Brit Frisco is the musical lovechild of San Francisco native Diona Devincenzi and Brit Paul Robert Cufflin.
Both successful songwriters in their own right with their respective songs having featured in hundreds of TV shows, movies and commercials, they met in LA in the fall of 2015, bonding instantly over a mutual love of all things retro soul.
Although their debut album ‘Roll Around’ sounds like two artists working closely together, it was actually written and recorded across two continents with Diona based in Nashville, TN and Paul in southern Spain.
The result is a collection of rootsy soul/retro R&B songs like yo’ mama used to make. Whilst the tunes are heavily influenced by past greats such as Otis Redding, Al Green, The Staple Singers, Aretha Franklin and The Meters, they’re served with a unique modern twist a la current artists Leon Bridges, Nathaniel Radcliffe, Raphael Saadiq, Allen Stone, Vintage Trouble et al.
